Ultrasound

Ultrasound provides us with highly detailed information about internal organs and helps us to identify the cause of a particular problem quickly.

X-ray

Our high output x-ray machine allows us to quickly investigate disease in injury, and gives us a great overview of bone and tissue structures.

ECG

Electrocardiograph (ECG) readings are used to detect heart issues in pets, or as part of a general health check for senior pets.

In-house laboratory

We can perform a wide range of diagnostic blood tests onsite. Full, accurate results are available in a few hours and in those emergency cases, within minutes.

Repeat medication and prescriptions

Our branches have onsite pharmacies, meaning you can easily order and collect your pet’s medication. To order medication for your pet, please call your usual branch. Please note that we require at least 48 hours’ notice for all medication and repeat prescription orders.

Prescription check-ups

Regular prescription reviews are required for pets on long-term medication (typically every two to four months), and our team will let you know when your pet is due their next prescription check-up.

Diet and nutrition

Our team can offer advice on suitable diets for your pet, including prescription diet options for pets with conditions such as arthritis, obesity, dental problems, intestinal sensitivities, organ dysfunction, food allergies or skin disorders.

Visiting specialists and referrals

We have excellent relationships with many local referral centres, and are fortunate to have RCVS-accredited visiting specialists and a second opinion veterinary surgeon visit us regularly.

Pet insurance

Our team will be happy to offer general advice about insuring your pet. For more information about the various pet insurance policies available, please give us a call or ask at reception.

Pet blood bank

We’re fortunate to have a Pet Blood Bank to call on, but blood donors are always required to keep stocks plentiful. If you would like to learn more about registering your pet as a blood donor, please visit the Pet Blood Bank website.

If your dog weighs 25kg or over and you would be happy to register them as an emergency donor, please get in touch.
